Titmouse Games — a games studio, you may remember,that makes games— is partnering with Kevin Eastman, publisher and co-creator ofHeavy Metal Magazine, to create a line of games based onHeavy Metalproperties. Familiarity with the magazine’s style isn’t an issue — Titmouse is famous for its work with Adult Swim cartoon,Metalocalypseand the adorable grit ofAfro Samurai. According to the press release, the first project is a “sci-fi action title” calledFistful of Blood....

At some point or another you’ve likely sat through one of Uwe Boll’s movies. I wouldn’t go so far as to say thatWolfenstein 3Dcoming to Xbox LIVE Arcade is the worst-kept secret ever, but it’scertainly up there. Activision has finally gone on the record to say that not only does it exist, but that the game is also planned for a PlayStation Network release. No word on pricing yet (don’t go over $10, guys!), butWolfenstein 3Dis hitting on June 3 and 4 for XBLA and PSN, respectively....

THQ has released a few screenshots of the Xbox 360 version of the upcomingWWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2008, and not surprisingly, the game looks a lot likeWWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2007. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing — last year’s game featured some sharp looking muscular and sweaty dudes, and for the first time in the history of wrestling vidoegames, the crowd wasn’t made up seven 2D sprites that were duplicated around the entire arena....

Amazon’s Deal of the Day is a good price on a great PS3 game. It’sYakuza 4for only $39.99. That’s about $20 off the standard price. Betweenthis dealand theirbuy two get one deal, Amazon is the place to be right now. Well, notbe…you know what I mean! I can wholeheartedly recommend this game. It’s the series’ finest outing by far. In a fairly in-depth report fromWhat They Play, it was been suggested that Nintendo is privately showing off a “complete refresh” of the Wii console that would include high-definition capability. A shadowy source that was consulted in the article revealed that the new console will arrive in 2011, right when first HD resolution television comes off factory presses. The new Wii is being dubbed by developers as the “Wii HD” and is being looked at much like the transition from Gameboy to Gameboy Color....

Backwards compatibility is cool, but it’s never 100 percent. I think back to that miniature Genesis, the Genesis 3. It can’t play some games. Remember the badass Sega CDX? It wouldn’t play a few titles. And that Sony thing? What’s it called? PSP Go or something. Yeah, it couldn’t playanyof the UMD games I own. Your Nintendo 3DS is backwards compatible with DSiWare, and the firmware update coming next month will let you transfer your games from your old DSi or DSi XL to your 3DS....
