GOG.com warned Australian gamers onFacebooktoday that on Friday at 15:00 GMT, the pre-order price ofThe Witcher 2will go from $42.27 AUD to $62.99 AUD because of “licensing reasons” they can’t elaborate upon. GTA IV PC introduces The Amazing Conrad

Yeah, I’m not quite sure what I just saw. Idoknow for certain that it was made as an example of what one can do withGrand Theft Auto IV‘s video editor, using no external software. A bit like videos made with Valve’s Source Engine, only not quite as funny. Apparently, anybody who has the PC version ofGTA IVcan make videos like the one above, or the one contained after the jump. A fun little toy it may be, but Destructoid already has one Amazing Conrad....

Interplay’s maybe-sorta-Fallout MMO enters beta in 2012

It might not be aFalloutmassively multiplayer online title, but maybe Interplay’s upcomingProject: V13(in codename only) will fill a post-apocalyptic void nicely. According to Interplay’s Chariman and Chief Executive Officer Herve Caen, the title is scheduled to enter public beta in 2012. Yup, that’s quite a wait, but perhaps long enough for Interplay and Bethesda to settle its legal disputes — it’s entirely possible thatProject: V13couldrelease as a properFalloutMMO. The title is in development at Masthead Studios, a Bulgarian developer that has yet to ship its only game, an original PC MMO entitledEarthrise....

L.A. Noire week kicks off across the network

I think it’s pretty safe to say that everyone on Destructoid is excited for the release ofL.A. Noire, but it isn’t the only site on the network excited for the game. That’s why the sites of the Modern Method network have joined together like some sort of crazed Voltron robot to celebrate the genre that inspired the game. For the entire week leading up to the game’s release Flixist will be presenting reviews and examinations on noir films set in L....

Leaving the American sector: Metro 2033 launch trailer

Metro 2033, a first-person shooter/survival horror hybrid based on — get this — the similarly titled novel by Dmitry Glukhovsky, was released in North America yesterday. If Jim’spreview from last monthdidn’t get you hyped, 4A Games is giving it another shot with a celebratory launch trailer which, if nothing else, shows off the game’s lighting. I haven’t been followingMetro 2033particularly closely, but I hope it’s a good game. I mean, obviously I don’t go out of my way to hope for bad games, but I’d like to see 4A succeed where so many other European developers have failed....

Left 4 Dead finalized box art is just box art, but still gets us excited

Normally we don’t do stories simply on box art. But when Valve sent this finalizedLeft 4 Deadbox art over to us a few minutes ago, the internal response from the Destructoid staff was unanimous: “DO WANT.” The art has a clean and simple design, which I think gets the point across nicely. There’s the game’s logo, which has a “4” splashed in blood. And then there’s the hand, which uh … oh s**t, is it missing a finger!...
