PS2 is still knocking out suckers left and right: Where’s the next-gen at?

Maybe this shouldn’t be such a big surprise, considering that just about every household seems to have a PlayStation 2 lurking in their entertainment center. The fact that you can still find a lot of outstanding games to play on it (for next to nothing) surely makes the console attractive to the average consumer. But to all, it still serves as a sobering reminder that having the latest and greatest console on the market doesn’t matter to everyone....

PS3 Slim gets an HD screen from Hori

I love me some Hori products, and this latest accessory for the PS3 Slim looks great. It’s a screen that they call the Hori LCD Monitor HD 3. It kind of houses the Slim, and it adds a 1366×768 resolution, 11.6″ LCD screen to the unit, complete with built-in speakers (and headphone jack). That means that you’ll get a solid 720p out of the unit. When you’re done, fold the screen down for a compact, desktop gaming unit....

PS3 version of Free Realms not dead, will be at E3

Sony Online Entertainment’s free-to-play PC MMOFree Realmsis still coming to PlayStation 3, according to the publisher. I playedFree Realmsvery briefly, but was easily distracted by things like instant messenger, email, Google Reader, and work. I’ll probably have better luck on the PS3, where my only distraction will be notifications of people coming online that I never game with. Is a free-to-play MMO on the PS3 something you’re interested in? That whole “free” thing has got to help, eh?...

PSP on verge of reaching 1 million sales in UK

As hard as it is to believe, the PSP may not be quite as bad as some of us make it out to be. Sure, there’s not many good games for the system. Resident Waggle Zero trailer is as fresh as the zombies within

Which series is the best at whoring out its franchises with endless remakes, do you think? Capcom or Square Enix? I’m going to have to side with the latter, but Capcom certainly gives Squeenix a run for its money. The company never misses a trick, and seems to take any opportunity to re-release an oldResigame with glee. The Wii must have been a Godsend to this company, a fact compounded by the release ofResident Evil Zero… now with waggle!...
