Vinyl, however, is a different story. Symbiote Studios hasgotten its tease onfor a line of Meat Boy vinyl figures, which are expected to ship in March of next year. They’ll go for $39.95 a pop, stand at around 8″ in height, and will be available in limited quantities....

Because it’s impossible to keep secrets from the Internet, it has come to light thatLittleBigPlanetwill be receiving someMetal Gear Solid-themed downloadable content in the near future. Word comes fromSony Hong Kong’s Web site, which showed off Snake, Meryl, Screaming Mantis, and Raiden costumes for your little cloth man-woman-thing. There will also be aMGS-themed level pack available as well, which should help you make your stealthy-sack-dreams a reality. We have no clue when this stuff will become available for everyone to start playing with; it could be as early as tomorrow....

In serious news, Microsoft has infuriated a vast number of gamers after unveiling its “NUad” service, a way of bringing advertising to Kinect users in a variety of interactive ways. The above video, in which NUads are demonstrated, has caused a significant uproar, especially among those who wish for Microsoft to remember that the Xbox 360 was once about videogames. I have to say, there’s a pretty damn obnoxious range of ideas being demonstrated in the video....

I’ve been sitting on this story for a little while, but I’ve been held back by Dtoid’s strict policy against posting American magazine scans on the front page. In a recent interview withEurogamer, Lionhead executive Peter Molyneux admitted to being enthralled with the idea of creating a MMO. The interview was conducted in Lionhead’s offices, towards the end of Fable 2 development talk. Even though Molyneux was willing to engage the interviewer with his thoughts on creating a MMO, he was unwilling to commit to saying what a Lionhead MMO would look like. Well, there’s someone in this room to ensure that I don’t say too much…I have been looking at MMOs....

And according to Molyneux, notorious for making bold statements, you have no idea what you’re in for. “There’s some very, very big things happening inFable III,” hetold Game Reactorin Copenhagen last week,” and it’s really going to upset people. Cyan Worlds’ Miller brothers brought the originalMystgame to life over a decade ago on PC, and since then the series has been passed around between a few developers and publishers. Half a dozen games later, the original game is being re-released again, this time for the Nintendo DS. Alone in the Darklooks like everythingSilent Hill 5could be, without beingSilent Hill. As one of my favorite series’ ever fails to generate the kind of “DO WANT” excitement it should, Eden’s Central Park nightmare has crept up and claimed my full attention. Aside from the fact that the choir is totally singing “Necro Boogie,” this is an awesome trailer that shows off a little more action than I’ve seen before. I’ve liked almost everything aboutAlone in the Darkthus far, and can’t wait to get my hands on it to see if it plays as good as it looks....
