A Netherlands group has come together to perform some classics (?) from the Commodore 64, except they’re playing them in an orchestral form. Now, I’ve never gotten to play a C64, so I wouldn’t really know how great allthese songs are. On the other hand, I’m a sucker for video game music done orchestrally. From what they say on their Myspace page, the music seems to be from some of the classics of the system, and anyone who is a fan, I’d recommend checking them out....

It seemed odd that a company like Crytek would produce a free-to-play first-person shooter for PC andonly talk abouthow it’s going to be available in China. Bioware has slapped a band-aid on theDragon Age: OriginsPC. When it comes to arcade combat flight sim console action with an over-the-top dramatic story, it doesn’t get much better than theAce Combatseries. Sure, it’s noIL-2 Sturmovikbut it’s not supposed to be. Ace Combat: Assault Horizonwill come with a couple of new online modes including Capital Conquest, which lets you challenge opposing teams to fight for control of famous capitals around the world. Also, Apaches! I do hope that the close combat zoomed-in action mechanic won’t drown out the regular combat from the past games....

Yes, theTomb Raiderfranchise is receiving yet another reboot. I think the general reaction when everyonefirst learned about another revampwas a giant eye-roll. Again, really? Especially considering that the series was getting good again? Come on! After seeingTomb Raiderin action, though, I believe the new game will cause eyes to pop out of heads with excitement. The new game follows Lara Croft on her first adventure and this is grittier and bloodier than anything we’ve ever seen in aTomb Raidergame....
