About a month ago, we told you about how 2K Sports is going above and beyond for the tenth anniversary of theirNBA 2Kfranchise with atricked-out Anniversary EditionofNBA 2K10. It comes with a numbered locker that can hold twenty games; a 6″ Kobe Bryant figurine, a 16″ × 36″ Kobe Bryant poster, and a bonus disc that provides a look back at the history of the series. Today, 2K sent over photos of the Anniversary Edition box itself, so you can see what the monstrosity will look like on store shelves....

You know how the Nintendo Wii has its weather channel? Now the PlayStation 3 will have one. Great. This new “Life With PlayStation” is an app that features a fancy 3D globe that can be explored to reveal weather and news, according toGizmodo. Revealed at a recent press conference, Kaz Hirai says that this one comes with high-res imagery and global weather satellite images. You’re seeing weather, and not a forecast....

Square Enix released ten new screenshots ofDeus Ex: Human Revolutiontoday. These are those very same images. I like this one in particular because I think the augmentations look really cool. Sure, the arms aren’t exactly subtle but the face is amazing. It’s like I’m looking into my dreams right after a speedball ofSnow CrashandThe Diamond Age. I hope I get to see this at E3. Getting my hands on the title for a little bit will help me to justify this excitement that I keep feeling for the game....

Total War: Shogun 2isa rather excellent strategy gameand any would-be rulers of Glorious Nippon would do well to give it a look. There is no question that the 3DS will be big, but just how massive does Nintendo expect it to be?F*cking— that is how massive! In fact, the peripheral maker believes that the 3D handheld will net four million sales in a mere month. In addition, Nintendo also believes that 15 million 3DS games will be sold during the same time period. The first details have come in on theLeft 4 Deadplayable demo, which Valve claims will be available “shortly before release.” Speaking withDe-Frag, Valve’s Chet Falisek says that the demo will likely contain the game’s first two maps. Part of the hospital campaign, the game will take players from zombie-infested streets to a zombie-infested subway … either way, you’re screwed. From what it sounds like, this area sounds similar to what Valve has shown press in the past (and wasplayable at PAX)....

Outside of its glitches,Fallout: New Vegashas often been criticized by gamers for its outdated graphics and animation. Obsidian designer Chris Avellone, however, has defended the game’s GECK engine, saying that it’s an impressive piece of RPG tech in spite of its visual quality. “One thing I like about GECK is that when it comes to creating an open-world environment, like we’ve done forNew Vegas, it’s pretty impressive and took care of a lot of what we needed — and we have experience with working with an open-world engine before,” urges Avellone....

The above video has pretty much confirmed something that I think we all knew deep down —Killzone 2is a broken puddle of Nazi spunk that should never have been released. When you see thesheer volumeof glitches (yes, with aplural) that are shown in thisdamningfootage, you’ll find it impossible to believe that Guerrilla’sevilhandiwork passed through QA. Just look at how easy it is to accidentally trigger the game breaking glitches thatsaturatejust the first five minutes of this shambolic disaster....
