Today starts my week ofDead Spacecoverage. TheDead Spaceteam invited me, along with a handfulof other bloggersand journalists, out to EA Redwood Shores a couple of weeks ago and gave us a full day’s look at all thingsDead Space. Before I get into the game itself (later this week), we should take a look at the history leading up to the start of the game.
There’s a lot to know about theDead Spaceuniverse, and to get us ready for the game, theDead Spaceteam developed a six-part mini comic book saga to set everything up. In issue one, we are introduced to Unitology, a major religion in theDead Spaceuniverse. The Unitologists worship objects called Markers, and on a planet that’s getting ready to be cracked, a new strange Marker has been discovered.

Issues two, three and four after the jump.
The Marker’s effect on people is growing worse and worse and people start to freak out.

The Marker is driving everyone crazy as a mass suicide occurs and a strange creature is found.
The planet is cracked and the shit hits the fan as the hidden alien species makes itself known and starts infecting and killing people.
