In just two years, the iPhone, iPod and iPad have amassed that rather incredible number. I absolutely admit that at least 50% of those “games” are probably fart simulators, but there are also some incredibly accomplished titles such asMega Jump,N.O.V.A,Chaos Rings,GodVilleand loads of others. Not to mention the fact that most of them are pretty damn cheap, with some excellent games starting at $0.99 and sometimes even free.Â
Like it or not, the iPhone has become a bit of a gaming triumph. They’re not the kind of games you may like to play, and they may not all be “hardcore” shooting games, but Apple is starting to become a serious contender in this industry, and we’d all do well to keep an eye on it.
