Finally, someone is updating the graphics for all of your favorite games from 80s! Atari have announcedAtari Classics Evolvedfor the Playstation Portable, and this is the first time this has been done … right?
Evolvedfeatures Atari classics likeAsteroids,Asteroids Deluxe,Battlezone,Centipede,Lunar Lander,Millipede,Missile Command,Super Breakout,Tempest,Warlords, andPong. Each title will be playable in two flavors — an untouched original, and an “evolved” version with new, polished graphics.
In addition to the 11 titles getting the “evolved” treatment, over 60 original Atari 2600 titles will be available, includingYar’s RevengeandCrystal Castles. The game also features online leaderboards, as well as peer-to-peer wireless compatibility for the multiplayer titles included.
