Those gamers planning to buyBattlefield 3on the Xbox 360 will be able to voluntarily install a hi-rez texture pack, producer Patrick Liu has confirmed. It’ll sit on that version’s second disc, and will operate in a similar way toRAGE‘s install.
“There’s a voluntary install on the 360,” Liu stated. “I thinkRAGEdid it as well, where you can install content to stream higher res textures. We’re pushing that technology to the limit, and compared to our competitors, I would argue that we’re the best looking game.”
Installs on the Xbox 360 are optional and quick. I wish other consoles would do that, because that would be excellent.
