A new distraction — or should I say devourer of time? — has appeared forBattlefieldfans who aren’t still actively playingBad Company 2or prior games by DICE. It’sBattlefield Play4Free, which has shifted into open-beta mode.
I haven’t actually gotten a chance to try it out for myself yet, but supposedly it’s a little bit ofBad Company 2meshed with maps fromBattlefield 2. That sounds delightful. More aligned with my tastes thanBattlefield Heroeswas, certainly.
Play4Freeis indeed a free game, assuming you can access the Internet, which you are doing right now. So jump on it, and be sure to leave some of the coffee shop’s bandwidth for the other customers.
