While THQ’s Wii-exclusiveDeadly Creatureswon’t be seeing anylove at retail until next year, the game has caught the attention of at least two high-profile Hollywood actors. THQ has announced that Billy Bob Thornton (Sling Blade, the guy who inexplicably got into Angelina Jolie’s pants) and Dennis Hopper (Blue Velvet,Easy Rider, maybe being f**king crazy) will be lending their voices to the game, which ships in February of 2009.
“Gamers are really going to loveDeadly Creatures,” says Dennis Hopper, who in addition to being an excellent actor, is now apparently also an industry analyst.
“What surprised me aboutDeadly Creatures,” adds Thornton, “is how it looks … like watching a movie. The scorpion and the tarantula are like two actors meeting up for a gun fight.”
While THQ has revealed what roles Thornton and Hopper will be filling inDeadly Creatures(it’s likely that of the human characters that flesh out the game’s story via cut-scenes), we’re hoping that they lend voices to the scorpion and tarantula, respectively. And we’re not talking about dialogue — we want to hear them making ridiculous scorpion and tarantula sounds.
