Mass Effect 3is a thing that is planned to happen. And it appears Bioware is excited to do it. At a recent press event,ME2project director Casey Hudson said as much, adding that the sequel-sequel should be a bit more fun.
And why? BecauseME3is the end of the trilogy — Bioware won’t have to toss in hooks for player saves and address what players do in another game. Go figure.

“Mass Effect 3will be easier because we don’t have to worry about the continuity into the next one,” Hudson toldShacknews.
It’s odd to talk about the end of the series before the second iteration is even in our hands. It’s even odder when you consider how much theMEuniverse is worth to both Bioware and its publisher partner, EA. We’re guessing we’ll see more ofMEpost-ME3. Unless, of course, Bioware blows up the galaxy or something.
