CES. You’ve got to love the Consumer Electronics Show. Where else can you see beautiful people, tubby nerds and porn stars in the same place at the same time? And when you’re tired of all of that, you can go out, play slot machines and eat buffets. I love this show and I thank the Supreme Robot for sending me every year.
As a tech nerd, the appeal of CES is obvious, just as the appeal of Las Vegas would be for a gambling drunk. But, as a gamer, we are often so focused on the games that we sometimes forget how reliant on technology we are. Everything from the controllers and accessories to the displays fall under the CES umbrella, and we’re here to sort through all of it for you. Get ready for big-assed TVs, cool new toys and strange things from China.
Oh, and we might spring by the porn show while we’re here.
While the show hasn’t officially started yet, today is press conference day, and the nerds are out in full force. I took the day to prepare by getting my registration finished up. I also sat in a few press conferences. The bigger ones, like Sony and Microsoft, are coming up in the next few hours, so stay tuned.
