Oh, Chicago. There was trouble earlier this year when the CTA pulledGrand Theft Auto IVads from buses early, breaking contract. They pulled them following some violence in the city, but a settlement has those ads back up for the next six weeks, reportsGamePolitics.

After the six-weekGTA IVstretch is over, Chicago is pulling ads for M-rated games from the CTA’s vechicles and properties, and then banning them forever. Check out this crap:

Last week, the CTA board voted to ban advertising for video games rated “M” and above. The ordinance, which takes effect Jan. 1, cites a “demonstrable correlation” between intensely violent video games and violent or aggressive behavior.

First off, there’s no proven correlation betweenfor violent video games and aggressive behavior. I’m embarrassed for the Chicago Transit Authority for this statement.
