Seriously? I mean,seriously?

The freeAvatar Chocobo pet codesthat Square Enix gave away to anybody who promotedFinal Fantasy XIIIonline have apparently become huge commodities on eBay. This of course lends itself to the question: If they want them so much to spend up to a hundred bucks, why the Hell wouldn’t they have just done the small amount of legwork needed to get a code for free?

I have a code myself and I didn’t even know what I did to earn it. What Idoknow, however, is that I’ll be putting it on eBay as soon as I’ve finished writing about it. Far be it from me to ignore a chance to exploit human stupidity.

Oh, and if you want yourownXbox Live Avatar to have a Chocobo virtual pet that does nothing, no need to spend a ludicrous $50+ on something that seems to do bugger-all except look a bit cute. If you want a complimentary Chocobo code from Destructoid, all you have to do is be the poster of the100th comment to this thread while mocking the stupidity of somebody who’d buy it on eBay.
