If you’re the kind of person who likes making dolls kick the crap out of each other, mark April 9 on your calendar. That’s the dayRag Doll Kung Fu: Fists of Plasticswill be hitting the PlayStation Network for PlayStation 3.
A quasi-sequel to the 2005 PC titleRag Doll Kung Fu, the game has a party-feel, and looks to be an over-the-top homage to 70s kung fu cinema. The trailer manages to not uses Carl Douglas’ “Kung Fu Fighting,” thankfully; instead, they have their own little catchy’s disco number. The game will feature support for trophies, and if the trailer is any indication, an ass-kicking Sackboy.
It might be a bit of a let down for some gamers, butRag Doll Kung Fuwon’t feature online multiplayer. The game’s producer, Josh Miller, nothing the complexities of the title’s physics engine, says the developer (Tarsier Studios) found “that technically it could not be done.” The good news is that Miller has also confirmed a playable demo for the title, so you can find out for yourself if the lack of online multiplayer is really a dealbreaker.
