It’s rare that I think, “damn you, Japan,” anymore. We get plenty enough cool, exclusive junk in North America that I’m generally pretty satisfied. If I lived in Europe, I would probably — rightfully — sing a different tune. Then something like this happens.
That is, according to NeoGAF forumite “john tv,” an authentic re-issue of a Game & Watch handheld. It is the reward Platinum members of Club Nintendo are receiving this year. That’s the Japanese Club Nintendo, if you aren’t rolling with my whole, “I don’t generally hate on Japan,” thing.
It looks so pretty and I want it so. The worst bit? The guy who posts this then goes on to note that he’s not going to open the box and will sell it on eBay in a decade or so. Yay for callous, heartless capitalism!
