Codemasters has announcedOperation Flashpoint: Red River, the latest installment of its tactical shooter franchise.Red Riverputs players in the combat boots of a US Marine Corps infantryman in a campaign set in Tajikistan, along the Vakhsh River.
The game is being built with four-player cooperative online play in mind, with drop-in and drop-out play, along with “additional co-operative game modes” on top of the game’s campaign.Red Riveralso promises to bring a number of improvements to the series, including refined enemy and squad AI, new closer-quarters combat, streamlined controls, and more.
It’s out in 2011 for PlayStation 3 Xbox 360, and PC.
