Whether you realize it or not, you’ve seen Sculpey around these parts quite afewtimesbefore. But if you’re still unfamiliar with the stuff, all you really need to know is that it’s a brand of clay polymer, quite popular among the customtoymaking crowd. And, much like Elmer’s school glue, I’ve never entirely grasped the fact that you’re not supposed to eat it. This customBoy and His Blobfigure does not help the matter.

Inspired by the cuddly visuals of WayForward’s upcoming remake, an artist by the name of Appy has created the delightful piece you see pictured above. Remarkable work indeed, and I almost had a hard time believing it wasn’t official merchandise. I’d say someone should give Appy a job making these into real figures to promote the game, but if I had this on my desk I can’t guarantee that I wouldn’t bite that kid’s sugary-looking head off and put that blob between a couple of graham crackers with a Hershey bar.
