[Editor’s note: Sometimes, it takes me a few looks to recognize awesomeness. Dtoider ekoala2002 made a custom Soopa Coin-up that includes a little animation starring his character, Kody Koala, going through various old-school Nintendo games. Here is my latest Soopa Coin-up Bros. custom. I combined my love on animation, koalas, electronics, videogames and vinyls into one compact little piece. Check out the pictures onmy Flickror the gallery below for pictures of the custom Soopa.

I wanted to have one that was like theDookie Pooone that was in the Soopa Show, but I didn’t want to drop $1000 on it. So I decided to make my own. The animation on the Soopa is Kody Koala going through a bunch of classic NES game levels.
Materials Used: Gameboy Advance SP, EZFlash III, Soopa Coin Up Bros., acrylic paint, portable speaker, switch, foam, wire, AC bulk head connector, Stereo jack and my printer.

I think it came out very well, even though the video is a little grainy. I hate how the first video came out, so I wanted to show what the animation really looks like, which you’re able to check out after the jump.
As always, I would love to hear what I could do to do better next time.
