Few of us could have predicted how crazy successful Xbox LIVE content — downloadable games, movies, crap for your Avatar, etc. — would become. I mean, Microsoft had to completely revamp the Xbox 360 dashboard interface to make browsing the storefront not so overwhelming.
It’s still an issue, but the “New Xbox Experience” was a step in the right direction. They’re taking it one step further,Major Nelson tells us, with an alternative way to dig through the ever-expanding Xbox LIVE Arcade catalog: Destination Arcade.
Going live next Wednesday, this new browser will feature better sorting options, a recommendation system, and perhaps most importantly, a feed displaying what’s on sale and what games were released recently. That remains one of the biggest issues right now, so it’s nice to see Microsoft address it.
