A morally questionable game in which players train canines in order to put them through illegal dog fights has been pulled from the Android Market.

The game was yanked after outrage from gamers around the world, as well as actress Alicia Silverstone and former dogfighter Michael Vick. I find Vick’s outrage funny, since he’s already hadhisfun with the dog torture. Let others have a turn! At least it’spretendthis time.

By all accounts, the game was little more than a crapMafiaclone, so nothing of value was lost. I’d have loved to have seen aPokemon-style parody, though. Something with a satirical message underlying the brutal tastelessness. It might have still been pulled, but I’d have been more keen to champion its cause.

Censorship sucks, but I’m not sure how they ever thought this game would stick once the cause-driven celebrities found it. At leastnowwe know that dog fighting games aren’t cool!
