If you feel that your portable gaming lacks rumble, you might want to hold out until something better thanthiscomes along. What you’re looking at is the “SmartStylus” — it’s a stylus for your DS, except it looks like one of those giant novelty pencils that your gran buys for you on holiday. Oh, it also vibrates, apparently.
Webriefly featured it yesterday, but here’s a picture of the monstrosity. As you can see, it may very well be nature’s cruelest mistake.
The SmartStylus is designed to add vibration feedback “based on movements and commands in the game.” It will come in two models, with the SmartStylus 2 including some form of motion control, LEDs and sound effects. You know, just in case you felt like you didn’t lookstupidenough with the SmartStylus 1.
Quite how this will work is anybody’s guess, but my money is on it not working at all. It also looks like it’ll ruin your touch screen, but I believe they’ll be throwing that special feature in for free.
