Jim gave us a rundownof theAlan WakeMicrosoft press conference demonstration yesterday, but thanks to the vigilance of a certainvideo editor, we have video of said walkthrough. Needless to say, this is the footage we’ve been waiting entire years to see, and it’s not something you want to miss catching.
Besides being genuinely creepy, or as creepy as a game can possibly be in a room full of people,Alan Wakehas something I hadn’t heard much about previously: a light/dark gameplay element. Not only does lighting up a flare look stunning, it’s one of many ways to kill “the dark forces.”

Now thatAlan Wake— or,A.Wakeif you’re in a hurry — has a solid release date (spring 2010), I am beyond ready to invest myself in learning more about the game.
