NeverDeadfollows a demon hunter named Bryce, cursed with immortality after he unsuccessfully tried to kill a demon king.  You’re armed with two guns, a sword and your own freaking limbs can be used as weapons. Enemies can rip off your body parts and Bryce can pick them up to reattach them or swing them around. If you can’t get to your limbs, they will regenerate thanks to your immortal powers.

You really have no fear of death except that you will get game over if your mortal partner alongside you, Arcadia, gets killed by the demons you’re hunting. That will be your main concern in regards to death. Oddly though, Bryce can get killed by certain demons, like a little tiny one that will suck up your head when you’re literally rolling your head around to solve puzzles.

Gameplay-wise, it reminded me a lot ofDevil May Cry. It’s over-the-top action with bad voice acting, American rock n roll music and a ludicrous plot. It looks fun, but my initial impression on the game makes me think it won’t be worth the full retail price it will most likely come out at. I’m interested to see how the four-player co-op will feel, since developer Rebellion Developments only hinted at the mode.
