Don’t believe Warren Spector. Everyone doesnotknow and understand Disneyland. My first trip to the park was just last Wednesday. That night, I walked through Disneyland alone. Under those conditions, I honestly didn’t see what was so great about the place.
On my second day, I was taken on a guided tour of the park, lead by Warren Spector. That’s when it all started to make sense. Mr. Spector’s deep, multi-layered affection for the park is nothing short of infectious. At one point, we stopped up into Walt Disney’s on-site studio apartment, which is located right above the Firehouse on Main Street. Everything up in the humble cottage was preserved from the days when Disney himself lived in that room. You should have ween the look on Warren Spector’s face while we were up there. I thought he might explode.
Disney’s apartment from Disneyland will actually be making an appearance inEpic Mickey, though according to Mr Spector “it will be really hard to get in there, and once you do, it will be short and sweet. It’s not a place to play. It’s a place to show reverence.” Fair enough. Epic Mickey has plenty of other real-life Disneyland locations to play around in anyway. Everyone is sure to have their favorites. Personally, I love theTron-style makeover that they gave Space Mountain, as seen in the trailer above.
