Our own Samit Sarkar was really having a good time with EVO 2010. It’s the one time this year that the often downtrodden sports fan can raise his head up high and say to his videogame-loving, sports-hating brothers and sisters “HA! If you like watching EVO, then you’re able to’t make fun of me for watching sports! It’s the same thing!”
Yeah Samit, that would be true, if in baseball the pitcher could throw multi-hit, flaming baseballs out of his hands, or if in Football, you could tackle a guy ducking on the ground and flexing you muscles until electricity flew out of your body, shocking the guy with the ball (and half your team) into submission. Stuff like that just one part of why I can watch competitiveTatsunoko Vs. CapcomorSuper Street Fighter IVall day, but have a hard time still during your average sporting event for more than two minutes. I’d definitely watch Football more often if it involved giant robot dogs breathing fire on light saber wielding robot until they explode.

Even the announcers sound shocked.
