Tim Cain, a creator of the originalFallout, doesn’t mind what Bethesda did with the franchise. In fact, Cain likedFallout 3. He even believes, unlike the vitriol-spewingFalloutpurists, that Bethesda exhibited an understanding of the series with their first entry into the soiled and haphazard universe.

“I played and finishedFallout 3as soon as it came out,” Cain toldFalloutfan siteDuck and Coverin a recent interview. “I really enjoyed the game and I think Bethesda’s designers had really done their homework.

“The game showed they had a deep understanding and knowledge of the key aspects of the original games,” he continued. “I even replayed it a few times to see how I could have different experiences, and I had fun with that.”

But, Cain admitted, he would “have done things differently,” if he had a go at it. As for what he would have done differently, though, that remains unknown. Perhaps a Cain-developedFallout 3would have hadtriplethe “Doctor Who” and Elvis references.
