I think we can all agree that videogame movies are, for the most, junk. So when Ubisoft decided to matters into its own hands, working with Hybride Studios for a series ofAssassin’s Creedshorts, I was… skeptical.But the results, as you can see in this first of the threeAssassin’s Creed: Lineageepisodes, are surprisingly decent. Not Hollywood blockbuster decent. More along the lines of those weird television adaptations of Shakespeare you’d find randomly only PBS — decent acting with modest production values. Oh, and with special effects by the folks who worked on300andSin City. So yeah, it looks good.So check it out; it’s a great way to spend the next 15 minutes of your life.
