People around here have had their eye on the upcoming PS3 title calledFolklore, as its unique look and gameplay style have already made agood impression. Now it looks like a version of the game will be making its way to the Sony PSP in the near future.

Kikizo says that a PlayStation Portable edition ofFolkloreis already in the works in Japan. They recalled mention ofShin Megami Tenseicreator Kouji Okada’s involvement early on when the game was still calledMonster Kingdom: Unknown Realms,so they checked with Sony to see if Okada was still involved.

“Yes he is,” Sony’s Bill Ritch told Kikizo at an event in London on Monday. “We’ve got a PSP version [of Folklore] and Kouji Okada is working on that.”

Kikizosays that Okada is working exclusively on the PSP version, and that he will not be involved with the PS3Folklore. They also say that Sony was reluctant to talk about this portable version of Folklore, and that they refused to comment on whether the two games would have any linkable features.
