Anyway, last week — as many of you know — was Destructoid’sGears of War 2community night. I’m not sure how experienced some of you are in the ways of hosting online events, but the second the word “prizes” is uttered, things get beyond hectic.
But when I say “hectic,” I don’t mean “bad”; far from it, actually. Besides the fact that I’m still getting friend requests from people who don’t realize the community event took placelast weekand has been over since then, getting to play with a bunch of Dtoiders andGears 2fans alike was entirely more epic than I ever thought possible.
Also, some guy who had to attend a baseball game and couldn’t make it sent us a voice message telling us how we were going to give his friend a prize. Note: he didn’t ask, or even demand, for that matter — he flat out told us that’s how it was going to go down. You’ve got some serious balls, kid.
