Chester:A lot of Kinect games. I’m really, really sore. Full coverage coming on November 4 at 12:01 AM Eastern.
When I want to relax, I playSuper Meat Boy. Yeah… “relax.” That’s the word I’m looking for.
Holmes:Got to playBit.Trip Sixfor about 20 minutes. It’s not finished yet, but yeah, I played it. I really loved it. Also playedBit.Trip FATE,Super Meat Boy, and a few of the games thatSuper Meat Boytaught me about, includingFlywrenchandMighty Jill Off. They are both awesome.
At events, I playedThe Fight: Lights Outwith the PS Move,Sonic Free Riderswith Kinect, andSuper Mario Bros(in a speed run competition). Good times all around. Impressions to follow.
Concelmo:Almost nothing butSuper Meat Boy. I finally (finally!) unlocked The Kid by beating the “I Wanna Be the Guy” warp zone stage.
It was the most difficult thing I have ever done in my entire life. I am so satisfied.
Sterling:MostlyFist of the North Star: Ken’s Ragewhich is great if you love absurdly muscular men screaming at each other. So yeah, pretty f’n great. Also played a bit of Folklore in anticipation forMajin and the Forsaken Kingdom. Pretty damn charming. Briefly gaveAlundraa revisit too, thanks to Dale. It’s exactly how I remember it, which means I am enjoying it muchly. Seeing stuff I haven’t played in a thousand years is nice.
Aziz:FinishedEnslaved. It’s a great game, but after taking it all in, don’t really feel it’s a Game of the Year contender anymore. Combat gets too stale and repetitive half way through the game and what the hell is it with Ninja Theory babying you through the entire game? The game is always telling you exactly what needs to be done.
Other than that, playedThe Fightfor the Move, the originalSuper Mario Bros.in a speed run competition Nintendo was hosting and some moreHalo: Reach.The Fightwasn’t that great as far as being responsive to your movements go. Sadly lost theSMBspeed run. Nintendo was giving away one of the new Nintendo Wiis if you got through world 1-1 the fastest!
PerLee:I’ve been a little light on games lately. Played a couple hours ofDonkey Kong Country Returnsand just startedDead Rising 2. It’s cool.
Zimmerman:Lots ofSuper Meat Boy. Finished two of the “Minus” levels, so I’m feeling pretty good about that. I keep trying to playFallout: New Vegasbut, every time I start it up, I fall asleep within twenty minutes. Controller in-hand — the whole nine — just unconscious. I think they may have laced it with some kind of drug or something because that thing be putting me out cold.
I’m also trying to finish up some games that I made it close to finishing but never did. Made some progress inRatchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time.
Devore:Mostly New Vegas and getting my ass kicked by Pro Keys inRock Band 3. Thank goodness I took a break from the abusiveSuper Meat Boythis week. I can only take so much punishment.
Tolentino:I think I’ve got aFallout: New Vegasproblem. But no! I’m not addicted! I can quit anytime I like…just not right now. Also, the command console makes everything better. Everything.
