Rumorconfirmed! In a recent interview withG4,Green Day: Rock Bandproject lead Chris Foster revealed that the entire “American Idiot” album would appear in the game.
“We wanted to have the entire ‘American Idiot’ album in the game. It’s like one album that’s meant to be heard and played as one unit. So you have the ability to do that. It’s the first time we’ve shipped any game with a full album involved in it. And it really fits for Green Day, and we’re really excited about it,” he told Abbie Heppe in the interview below.
Considering the way thatThe Beatles: Rock Bandwas put together it will be interesting to see how the series handles an entire album, especially one with such powerful themes running through it. If it’s just the band playing the every song at the same venue I’m going to be sorely disappointed.
