The NPD declaredthe Xbox 360 version ofCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 2the top seller of November, with a huge number of copies sold. Try 4.2 million copies on for size. That’s over twice as much as the PS3 version sold.
While chatting last night with Microsoft’s Director of Product Management, Aaron Greenberg, he pointed out that the total number of copies is actually quite a bit higher than the NPD’s numbers.

“That’s not counting the number of bundles sold last month,” Greenberg reminds us, referring to the $399Xbox 360 Modern Warfare 2 Limited Edition bundle, which features a themed 250GB Xbox 360 and a copy of the game.
When I asked about much more more these bundles would add to the total, he couldn’t give specifics, but said that it would add “hundreds of thousands more” to the 4.2 million the NPD counted. All I could think about is how all 4.2 million plus could probably beat me online.

For those counting, in all, across all platforms, that’s over 6 million copies ofModern Warfare 2sold in one month. Damn.
