I suppose now is as good of time as any to usher in more Xbox 360 Platinum Hits, isn’t it? The folks in charge of designating games as worthy of the Platinum Hits labeling have been hard at work lately, and have announced that 8 titles will be added to the line-up.
Besides coming in the standard ugly packaging, which has actuallygotten a lot betterover the years, the following titles will be available at stores for $19.99:Gears of War(comes with all map packs),Forza Motorsport 2,Mass Effect(includes “Bring Down the Sky”),Viva Pinata,Army of Two,Battlefield Bad Company,Burnout Paradise,andEA Sports Fight Night Round 3.

While the majority of these games have been $20 or below for some time now if you look in the right places, it’s nice to see some downloadable content being thrown in with at least two of the Platinum Hits.
Xbox Reveals ‘Greatness is Earned’ with New Design and the Latest Inductees to Xbox 360 Platinum Hits Collection

Microsoft today announced that eight new titles have earned their place in the Xbox 360 Platinum Hits collection, including “Gears of War,” “Forza Motorsport 2” and “Mass Effect.” Launching with a new box design and under the banner “Greatness is Earned,” Xbox has selected the top-rated and best-selling games to receive the Xbox Platinum Hits label and will make them available in stores at prices starting as low as $19.99.
The Platinum Hits collection, which is now comprised of over 45 different titles, represents sales of over 120 million units, bringing the classic must-have games under one elite umbrella and available at a great value.
