I love the Wii’s endless selection of ridiculous and useless peripherals. If you bought them all, your living room would look like a garage sale. However, I have to admit that I love the really ludicrous ones and find myself kind of attracted to them. Imagine, then, my reaction to Hudson’s latest solution for not disturbing your neighbors with the swan sounds of your karaoke performance — theJOYSOUND Wiimicrophone.

The mic comes packaged with the gameJOYSOUND Wiiand is technically named “Loud Karaoke OK!” It connects to the Wii via USB and has a removable cup that you can wash (thankfully, because it would get gross in there otherwise). Retailing for 3,480 yen, it may seem pretty silly, but since karaoke is so popular in Japan it’s quite possible this device would come in handy for not disturbing your neighbors while having late night parties (or if you just want to wail “Total Eclipse of the Heart” at the top of your lungs at 3 am).
