In the last few weeks, I played throughSuper Metroidagain for, maybe, the fiftieth time. While saying “OMG I have played that game at least fifty times!” is usually quite the exaggeration, with me andSuper Metroid, I think a statement like that may just be true.

I play the game with such an unabashed respect and passion that it’s hard to even put into words how I feel about it. I fawn over every gorgeous bit of visual storytelling; I proudly pat myself on the back every time I perform one of those littlesuper-fan secretsthat a lot of people don’t know about; I even cry over the ending sequenceevery single time.

If there were ascientificmagical scale that could measure everyone’s love of a specific game, I think I could very well be at the top of theSuper Metroidone. Heck, I am going to invent this scale just so I can make it official.
