Those “five star ratings” that the officialKane & LynchWeb site used totry and trick visitorshave been removed. The attention that GameBump, NeoGAF, Destructoid and other sites gave this dirty tactic obviously had an effect on Eidos taking graphics down.

Taking a look atGameBumpagain, they reveal a few more interesting details. Aside from an extremely snarky PR person trying to hopelessly defend the Web site’s stars, an admin from the Eidos forums decided to reply to a fan’s forum post about this whole situation on the misrepresentation with the star business:
