Hey, rememberLa-Mulana? It’s that revamped indie PC action adventure title inspired byCastlevania, Indiana Jones,Mickey Mouse, The Terminator, andclassic MSX games of old, originally scheduled to hit WiiWare in late 2010. Well, the game finally made it toWiiWare in Japan, but according to the game’s official blog, we haven’t seen the game out of its native country yet because of the “Unterhaltungssoftware Selbstkontrolle”. That’s the games ratings board of Germany, affectionately know as the “USK”. U-S-K you say? More like S-U-C-K…. S.

Right. Moving on.

Nigoro (the game’s developer) submitted the game for review to the ESRB, OFLC, and the USK about two months ago. OFLC and the ESRB have the game rated and ready to go, but the USK still hasn’t finished their job yet. Nigoro says their waiting on the USK’s rating before the release the localized build of the game, so they can put it out in Europe and the U.S. at about the same time.

If you’re reading this Nigoro, you’ve got to stop the madness. GetLa-Mulanaout in the U.S. as soon as possible, as the Wii is currently in the midst of its worst drought ever. Wii owners are desperate to playanythingright now, as they wait forKirby Returns to Dreamland,Bit.Trip Complete,Rhythm Heaven Wii, andSkyward Swordto be released later in the year. If there was ever a time that a great-but-unassuming title likeLa-Mulanacould steal the spotlight, it’s now.
