…Eternity’s Childdidn’t look too bad either.

Obviously, with this being a game from Luc Bernard’s new Wiiware/DS/iPhone company, I can imagine that the entire gamer community will be skeptical, but I hope that Bernard pulls out the goods with this newAdvance Wars-esque strategy title, whichhas now been revealedasMecho Wars.

Luc’s wonderful art style is said to be complimented by an actual design document this time. Bernard and collaborater Shane Gill are handling all the concept, design and story. The programmer is being identitifed only as “Mr. X,” but he claims to have experience with strategy games.

Bernard has some concept art up forMecho Wars, which shows how he draws the characters and how Gill then turns them into sprites. you may also see a proposed screenshot which looks very much like anAdvance Warscombat screen.

It’s very hard to screw up a turn-based strategy, and since I’m personally overjoyed that Luc has returned to the games industry, I hopeMecho Warsturns out well. I’ll be keeping an eye on it for sure.
