Former Navy pilot John Ryan McLaughlin is suing Bethesda, claiming thatThe Elder Scrolls IV: Obliviongave him a grand mal seizure that cost him his flight status.
According to the suit, it was the first seizure he’d ever had, and it was violent enough to break a bone. He is now permanently barred from flying the F-18 planes for which he was trained.

The suit argues thatOblivion“was so designed that it exceeded the upper acceptable limit of more than three flashes over a one second period, as well as acceptable spatial pattern and luminance flash limits. These risks were not made known to the plaintiff and/or an ordinary consumer prior to the time of purchase.”
He wants damages for “negligence, breach of warranty, and product liability.”

So let’s have a show of hands. Who hear has had a case of the drooling shivers after playingOblivion?
