Hideo Kojima is intent onWesleyingRaiden as much as possible, and it appears thatMetal Gear Solid RISINGmay see him succeed. The game looks to be incredibly badass, and Konami is excited enough about it that there may be an entirely new franchise bearing theRISINGname.
“MGS Risingis not a side story. We’re aiming for twoMetal Gear Solids, making a series out of another standard,” explains producer Shigenobu Matsuyama.
RISING is going to tell us what happened to Raiden betweenMetal Gear Solid 2andMetal Gear Solid 4. It’s all about Raiden because the team had imagined a game where you could “cut anything” and the character was already known for wielding a katana. Either way, the thing looks boss and I want it.
