PlayStation 3 owners, here’s your chance to spit in the direction of Xbox 360 gamers — Midway has confirmed thatUnreal Tournament 3for the PlayStation 3 will be shipping to retailers on December 10.
This had been previously confirmed by Epic’s Vice President Mark Rein, who had revealed that the game had gone gold. Of course, up until now, Epic had been saying the game was shaping up for a 2007 release, and Midway was solid in their “early 2008” position. Provided Midway can get their marketing into shape in time, they could definitely have a winner on their hands, despite the late-holiday launch.
I’ve spent time with both the PC and PlayStation 3 versions of the game, and I was pretty happy with the way the game performed on Sony console. I’ll likely be playing it on the PS3 later this year — will any of you be joining me?
