In a recentreport on Forbes.com, Capcom’s Katsuhiko Ichii has seemingly confirmed that the PlayStation 3 version ofMonster Hunter 3is no more, and the the title will be released exclusively for the Wii.
“Due to high development costs of titles for the PS3,” Ichii tells Forbes, “we have decided to switch the platform to which we release ourMonster Hunter 3title.”

The report them goes on to call theMonster Hunter 3deal an “exclusive” agreement between Nintendo and Capcom. While this might not seem like a huge blow to those outside of Japan (the game has sold over 4.5 million units worldwide, however), this could be a significant move if true. The recent success ofMonster Hunter Freedom 2for the PlayStation Portable has made it one of the most popular PSP titles to date.
