“The way that we see the future is that the movie and the game are placed on the same disc,” explains Koller. “We will definitely see this stuff this year.”
According to the Sony man, lots of developers have already expressed interest in the concept of hybridized BDs, and Warner Bros. Interactive has confirmed that it sees potential, claiming that it could theoretically have included a demo version ofWanted: Weapons of Fatewith the film itself.
The potential is definitely there, although just likeHome, I feel that this is something advertisers will bust a nut over more than consumers. Still, it’s neat concept.
