While itwas a fun exerciseto discussPokemonspin-offs that desperately deserve a revival, as expected,Dengeki Nintendo DS‘ big reveal was for some silly thing — in this case, an arcade game. But not just any old arcade game:Pokemon Battrio.

Japan is getting a new version of the title, updated to include the gang from Unova. And that’s about all there is to this story, my lovely audience primarily made up of people not living in Japan. There is still a glimmer of hope in the form ofCoroCoro, another magazine promising details on a newPokemontitle.

Look for more on that in the June 15th issue. Alternatively, I’m sure we’ll get something to go on at E3. It’s clear that actual, relevant games are in development, so it’s only a matter of time before we get to hear about them. One can hope, anyway.
