I love myHouse of the Deadtitles, especially in the arcade. Hell, even the re-release comboHouse of the Dead 2 & 3 Returnwasn’t that bad. They’re supposed to be simple, campy lightgun games, but this new one,Overkill, looks to be just that: overkill.
That’s not necessarily a bad thing, though. This new Wii-only lightgun title by London-based Headstrong Games is shooting (hah!) for campy, with an emphasis on a retro B-movie vibe.
This game is co-op ready, as any goodHotDgame should be. There’s a feature called “Slow-Mofo Time” that lets you make clean headshots, and “Evil Eye” special kills. Sounds fun.
Overkill isn’t the best looking game I’ve ever seen, but I don’t think that will matter as much when you’re pistol whipping zombie jaws off with your Wii Remote.
