The WiiWare update of the original that was just recently announced is available today, with online multiplayer, updated visuals, and more. The track editor makes it a return, as well, and so do I. I’m buying this game as soon as it’s available for download, which should be today around 9:00 A.M. Pacific. Race with me, will you?
Konami is also bringing Frogger back forFrogger Returns(1-2 players, 500 Wii Points), which has the frog looking both ways before it crosses a bunch of new roads with updated graphics and more.Dragon Master Spell Caster(1-2 players, 500 Wii Points)is not a remake, but clearly attempts to be all things to everyone — dragons, masters, and spell casters. Can you be all three at once? Stickmen Studios, the game’s developer, thinks so.
DSiWare sees the release of Hudson’sBomberman Blitz(1-8 players, 500 DSiPoints)andfiveElectroplanktongames—Trapy,Hanebow,Rec-Rec,Nanocarp, andBeatnes. They’re all 200 DSi Points a piece, and will look familiar to anyone who already ownsElectroplankton— they’re just standalone versions of that game’s different modes. Still, even at 200 points a piece (along with the five other plankton, yet to be released), it’s cheaper than finding a copy of the full game on eBay for more money than it’s worth.
