As the world reverberated with economic disaster after boondogle after clusterf–, Nintendo went on strong. They continually profited more year on year while the rest of the planet turned to a shambles. But no more! Malaysia Star is reporting that Nintendo’s profits will fall this year.
Now, make no mistake. They made money last year. Boatloads of it. The kind of money where you could pretty much do anything you wanted to if you didn’t have to share it with loads of stockholders. No, no. Nintendo just made a little bit less in 2009 than they did in 2008. That’s all.
But could this be the end of everything? Will it all come tumbling down now? Has the world had enough and other such leading and completely overblown statements?
